Kygo Life is a brand committed to constantly push the boundaries for fashion and lifestyle products. And when it came time to launch their new Pro-line of headphones - we were tasked with creating a launch campaign and companion app with an Equalizer-function that both engages the target audience and lets them keep their headphones continuously up to date. 

Research showed that the relation Kygo Lifes target group have to equalizers is slim to none, most of them didn’t even know Spotify has an integrated version. So our goal became to create a new sound experience for our target audience - that has no previous relation to the traditional equalizer or how sound is perceived over different spectrum.

C O N C E P T

We created Kygo Sound - a minimalistic and intuitive sound experience. 
By re-imagining the classic look and function of an equalizer, we created a playful and visual solution where interacting with the interface of the app will cause an instant change in soundscape. Every pixel offers an unique sound image, and users can also choose between one of Kygos four personal presets - each represented by cities that have had an major impact on his career. From the upbringing in Bergen to the major breakthroughs in New York, Ibiza and Los Angeles - these vibrant cities each offers an unique and playful sound experience - carefully curated by the artist himself.

Following in the steps of the new Pro-line release, the app and headphones were advertised for in all of Kygo Music and Kygo Lifes official social media channels as well as Kygo Lifes webshop. Instore materials such as flyers, posters, rollups and stickers were produced for the Kygo Pop-Up store in Oslo, which was the perfect place to reach our target audience and giving them the ability to test the product with the app. 

Both the headphones and app have received great reviews from both tech and lifestyle magazines and a number of mentions from both far and near. The app, deployed as an native app for both iOS and Android, delivers a smooth, optimized performance across multiple platforms and devices.
